PRF Phase 3 Application Deadline Today
The deadline for providers to apply for funds from the Provider Relief Fund’s (PRF) Phase 3 general allocation is today (Nov. 6).

McConnells Indicates End of Year Relief Package
Senate Majority Leader McConnell said Wednesday (Nov. 4) he believes Congress should pass an additional COVID-19 relief bill before the end of the year.
“Hopefully the partisan passions that prevented us from doing another rescue package will subside with the election and I think we need to do it and I think we need to do it before the end of the year,” McConnell said at an event following his reelection.[4]
Stark differences remain in Republican and Democratic priorities for a relief package; at this time, it is unclear how the election outcome will shape debate going forward.
CDC Updates COVID-19 Vaccine Info
On Wednesday (Nov. 4), the CDC updated their COVID-19 vaccine information page. Additional information on U.S. vaccine planning, the CDC’s role in the vaccine recommendation process, and safety guidelines can be found on their website.

Dr. Collins Urges Mask Usage in NIH Blog Post
This week, NIH Director Francis Collins urged Americans to wear masks as COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the country. Collins said wearing masks would save more than 130,000 lives in the next few months. According to NIH, the U.S. is on track to lose 510,000 lives by March.
