Alaskan and Native Affairs

CHCG works with Native American and Alaska native clients in assisting them on their federal representation and in creating a federal dialogue for native issues and objectives. Our team works closely with Congress and the Administration to come up with creative solutions on behalf of our Native American and Alaska Native clients. This work includes input on key policy matters related to the House Resources Committee, Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, and the US Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs.

The firm has had substantive policy victories on behalf of Native American clients in the areas of lands, natural resources, forestry, gaming, labor, and others. Our work on Alaskan Native issues has provided many successes for native regional corporations whose interests extend to energy development, federal contracting, business development, technology, and general issues relating to the Alaskan native people.
