CHCG Names Two New Senior Legislative Assistants.
Capitol Hill Consulting Group (CHCG) is excited to announce that Carolina Herrera and Ashlyn McNamara have been named Senior Legislative Assistants.
Carolina joined CHCG in 2023, she works on energy, trade, tax, agriculture, and Native affairs issues. Prior to joining CHCG, she served as a legislative intern for House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar (D-CA) and Congresswoman Cindy Axne (D-IA). During her studies at the University of Iowa, she was a Fellow for the United Nations Association, a Fellow for the Biden Campaign, assisted the State Department in research, and was a Congressional Affairs intern for the Embassy of Mexico.
Ashlyn joined CHCG as a Legislative Assistant in 2023. At the firm, she works with the health team covering a broad range of healthcare issues. Previously, Ashlyn worked for CHCG as a Legislative Intern during the Summer of 2022 and served as a Session Writer for a Texas-based lobbying firm throughout the 88th Texas Legislature. Additionally, she was a political intern for the Texas Democratic Party and a field organizer for both state and federal campaigns.
