Carolina Herrera joined Capitol Hill Consulting Group in January 2023, helping the firm with agriculture, Native affairs, energy, trade, and resource clients. She authors weekly legislative updates, assists with fly-ins, monitors hearings, and provides real time updates to clients on relevant legislative and regulatory actions.
Previously, Carolina served as a legislative intern for House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar (D-CA) and Congresswoman Cindy Axne (D-IA). During her studies at the University of Iowa, she was a Fellow for the United Nations Association, a Fellow for the Biden Campaign, assisted the State Department in research, and was a Congressional Affairs intern for the Embassy of Mexico.
Carolina graduated from Iowa with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in German. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she graduated with University Honors and was nominated for the University’s Dean’s Achievement Award. Carolina grew up in Iowa but is originally from Monterrey, Mexico.
