Kimberlee Trzeciak, Senior Vice President

Capitol Hill Consulting Group (CHCG) is excited to welcome Kimberlee Trzeciak, former Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), to the firm as Senior Vice President. Kim brings nearly 20 years of experience leading regulatory policy and legislative initiatives at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and on Capitol Hill.
“We are beyond excited to welcome Kim to the CHCG team. Her depth of experience and policy making, especially to issues around the FDA, is unmatched and will make an excellent addition to our strong health team,” said Brian Sutter, CEO of Capitol Hill Consulting Group.
As the top policy official at FDA, Kim provided strategic leadership in the development of innovative policy and legislative proposals, and oversaw engagement with Congress, the Executive Branch and other federal agencies, global counterparts and partners, and state, local, territorial, and tribal policymakers. She negotiated and managed complex and high-profile policy initiatives working with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the White House, and other federal partners, including related to agricultural biotechnology, data security, regulatory oversight of medical and tobacco products, and medical product supply chains. In addition, she led development and execution of FDA user fee strategic policy and engagement with the Hill, which resulted in the timely five-year reauthorization of the human medical product user fee programs and the reauthorization of animal drug and generic drug user fee programs.
Prior to FDA, Kim served as a senior health policy advisor on Capitol Hill for nearly 15 years, first as Legislative Director and lead health policy advisor to the former Dean of the U.S. House of Representatives, John D. Dingell (D-MI) and later as Chief Health Policy Advisor to Chairman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Before working on the Energy and Commerce Committee, Kim was vice president of government relations in the health practice of a leading public affairs firm where she advised and provided strategic guidance to corporations, nonprofits, and coalitions on organizational vision, legislative strategy, and engagement with Congress, federal agencies, and other influential stakeholders on a range of health policy issues. She also served as director of federal government affairs at a global generic and specialty pharmaceutical company, where she focused on strategic engagement with policymakers around implementation of FDA’s user fee programs and advancing policies to support patient access to medical products.
Kim received her master’s degree in government from Johns Hopkins University and bachelor’s degree in public and corporate communication from Butler University.
